FRIDAY JANUARY 9th TO SUNDAY JANUARY 11th

SIGN UP CUTOFF DATE JANUARY 5th

Pack your boat and bring your family and friends to join fellow POYC boaters for great times at Blake Island Marina.  Its time for the annual Penguin Cruise.      Cost: $20 per Adult and $5 for Kids 12 and under.

EVENTS/TIMES:

Friday - Meet at the center shelter to find a roaring fire in the fire pit.

5:00 PM Mixer – BYOB, Ice provided, bring an appetizer to share.

 

Saturday  

8:00 AM- Coffee, Tea & Hot Cocoa at the shelter. Fire will be started in the pit.

9:00 AM- Eye Openers” Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and Continental Breakfast- club provided.

10:00 AM - 1:00 PM Plan on exploring all the island has to offer. Check out Tillicum Village, a Native American cultural center that is currently closed. There is a trail that circumnavigates the island beneath madronas and salal, or head up and over the hill on either the Red or Blue trail for a longer hike.

1:30PM in the shelter for fun activities and camaraderie.  Including games, kids activities, horseshoe tournament, and bingo. Jigsaw puzzles will also be in the shelter to work on at any time. Also bring some quarters, we may have some betting games.

5:00 PM- Drinks and Dinner – Beer, Wine, Soda, Hot Cocoa – Club Provided. Annual Penguin Cruise Soup Contest Bring your best soup to share with everyone. Prizes for the best soups!!! Club provided Garlic Bread. Members are welcome to bring desserts.

 

Sunday

8:00 AM- Coffee, Tea & Hot Cocoa and leftovers at the shelter. A fire will be started in the pit if we still have wood.

Tear Down, Clean up and head back to POYC. Volunteers needed for this.

 

Things to bring and remember:

Warm clothes, muck boots, scarfs, gloves, earmuffs and rain gear.  It can be very wet and muddy or icy depending on the weather.

Bring your own cups, plates, flatware to each meal at the shelter, also bring your own muffin tin for the soup contest, so you can try all the soups.

Please bring an arm load or two or three of firewood to help keep the fire going in the shelter. No Wood, No Fire, No Heat!!!

Moorage at Blake Island Marina is currently $1.00 per foot with a minimum of $23, 30 amp power is currently available for $6.00 a day.
