Join us after the 4th of July Picnic for a POYC Cruise to the San Juan and Gulf Idslands. If you are planning an extended trip north this summer, this is a great way to kcik-off your adventure!.

You can join or leave this cruise as you wish. You can also use the marinas, or anchor out, when that is an option.

  • Part 1:  July 5 – 10, POYC to Cap Sante Marina Anacortes  Two nights moorage fees at La Conner are included in the registration fee, no anchoring is available at La Conner.

    $25.00 per Junior Crew (5-15),

  • Part 2: July 10 – 18, Anacortes to Mill Bay. 
    $70 per Adult (16 and over),
    $30.00 per Junior Crew (5-15),

  • Part 3: Optional Tour of three Cowichan Valley wineries, Includes transportation, wine tasting and charcuterie.  $125.00 per person. Must be at least 19 years old.

Registration deadline for Group Moorage is  June 12.

5 July -7 July 2026 Everett

  • Sunday, 5 July – POYC to Port of Everett Marina, (POYC – Everett approximately 35.2 miles)

  • Monday, 6 July – Breakfast

7 July -9 July 2026 La Conner

  • Tuesday, 7 July – Everett to Port of Skagit, La Conner Marina (Everett – La Conner approximately 34.3 miles)

Swinomish Channel Navigation and Currents at La Conner: 

Slack water occurs 2.5-4 hours after high or low tide
The current flows north from 2.5-4 hours before high tide to 2.5-4 hours after high tide
The current flows south from 2.5-4 hours before low tide to 2.5-4 hours after low tide
Channel dredged every three years -12’ (MLLW), overhead clearance 74’.  Overall tide swing for three days, 0.2’ to 10.5’.

Thursday, 9 July – La Conner to Cap Sante Marina Anacortes, Guest Dock #5 (La Conner to Anacortes approximately 9.7 miles). Resupply and refueling opportunity.

  • Thursday, 9 July - 5pm Happy hour and hors d’oeuvres potluck, BYOB including pizza dinner.

  • Friday, 10 July – Hard departure time of 12 PM (due to peak marina usage).

10 July -12 July 2026 Rosario Resort, Orcas Island

  • Friday, 10 July – Anacortes to Rosario Resort, Orcas Island (Anacortes to Rosario approximately 16.1 miles.  Note: Morning Fog is frequently encountered this time of year.) 
    5pm Happy hour and hors d’oeuvres potluck, BYOB 
    Dinner: Pulled Pork Sandwiches, potluck sides and Dessert
  • Saturday, 11 July – All day - Rosario Marina, Group Picnic Area, Pool and Field Day.  Breakfast and Burgers provided, potluck sides and dessert.

There are many activities to do on the island. Some of the most popular are whale watching, sea kayaking, and biking—with tours and rentals leaving directly from Rosario’s harbor.  Visit website: Rosarioharbor.com includes links to those activities. There is a trail that leads to Moran State Park from the marina. A very popular place in the San Juans, to hike or hang out by the lakes. You can rent paddle boats or kayaks on the lakes as well. Travel to Eastsound by taxi or group van. It is a fun small island town with several nice restaurants and shops. If you’d rather stay around the marina for meals, the Harbor Bar & Grill will be open until 9 pm. 

12 July -14 July 2026 Friday Harbor, San Juan Island

    Dinner: Mississippi Pot Roast. Potluck sides and deserts with southern theme.

14 July -16 July 2026 Poets Cove Resort and Spa, Pender Island, BC

Arrivals from the US: Canada Customs requires vessels entering Canada to tie to the Customs dock prior to any other docking structure. Once you have cleared customs, please radio 66A for Marina docking instructions.  Additional Customs instructions will be provided to registered attendees.

16 July -18 July 2026 Mill Bay, Vancouver Island, BC

  • Thursday, 16 July:  Transit to Mill Bay Marina, Saanich Inlet, Vancouver Island (Poets Cove to Mill Bay Marina approximately 15.4 miles)
    5pm Happy hour and heavy hors d’oeuvres potluck, BYOB
  • Friday, 17 July - Optional Wine Tasting and Charcuterie, Enrico Winery, Cobble Hill Estate Winery and Cherry Point Winery.

  • Mill Bay Marina is located in the north west corner of the Saanich Inlet on Vancouver Island, in the beautiful Cowichan Valley.

Marina and Slip Reservation Information

Port ot Everett

Moorage: Guest Dock #5, $2.00/ft, Power: 30/50 AMP (Newer sensitive breakers), Most of Dock 5 is reserved for rendezvous, up to 450ft.  This is a lineal/side-tie dock with 30 & 50 Amp service and tank pump-out hook-ups. Rafting and stern ties are allowed at this dock. Register for moorage with the Port of Everett by going onto Dockwa.com. Reservations are accepted up to 60 days in advance of the last day of the reservation date. Any boaters that register via Dockwa should add under Special Request they are with Port Orchard YC. Should participants submit a reservation prior to the 60 days, they will be added to a waitlist.  If it is noted, under special request that the boater is with Port Orchard YC we will be able to confirm the reservation.   Dockwa charges the equivalent of the first night’s moorage at the time of the reservation.

Cap Sante Marina, Anacortes

Moorage: $1.97/ft under 50’, $2.44/ft over 50’. 30 Amp Power: $7.00/day 50 Amp Power: $14.00/day
Please note, slip assignments are handled directly through the POYC group leader. Attending members do not need to reach out to the Harbor Office for a slip unless they are planning on arriving early or departing late. They can contact the Harbor Office directly to make their arrangements, and we will do our best to keep them in their originally assigned slip, but it cannot be guaranteed. A $5 advance reservation fee will be collected when they call to confirm an early-arrival or late-departure.

Amenities: Shower ($1.25/5min) & laundry facilities, close walk to shopping and dining in historical Anacortes, complimentary bikes, Pump out stations, leashed pets welcome. Grocery and marine stores nearby.

Rosario Resort

Moorage: $3.00/ft, 30 Amp Power: $10/day, 50 Amp Power: $20/day

Make reservations soon before the docks fill up. Marina is popular and they do not hold slips without registration.  Mooring balls outside Breakwater are also available.

Port of Friday Harbor

Moorage: Inside of Breakwaters C and D. This is a lineal/side-tie dock with 30 & 50 amp service

$1.95/ft under 44’, $2.45/ft over 44’. 30 Amp Power: $7.00/day, 50 Amp Power: $14.00/day

Individual reservations are required using the group code POYC26 to be placed into your group’s block of slips (www.portfridayharbor.org). For rendezvous in July and August slips must be reserved 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCE, any slips not reserved by that date (June 28) will be forfeited and put back into our regular reservation pool.
